My husband was involved in a similar discussion and a friend cleared it up with the following analogy.
A man gave his wife a million dollars and told her to spend $1000 a day. She came back 3 years later to say the money was gone.
He then gave her a Trillion dollars and told her to spend a million dollars a day. She didn't come back for 3000 years.

ReplyDeleteI had someone put a flyer in my mailbox, as they were celebrating a 25th anniversary of being in business and having a big sale.
ReplyDeleteIt made comment about the stimulus. They said that if you spent $1000 per second for 25 years, you would have spent about the same as Congress.
Amazing to think about, either way.
It is a funny, and great analogy. These trillions or dollars they talk just seems so far beyond comprehension!
